Hello!
I'm Sharon Elizabeth Green-Coons, a native Pennsylvanian with a love of the outdoors and a passion for creating art inspired by the beauty I find there, from scenic forested landscapes to the smallest wonders within. My style is detailed realism, working primarily with pencil and/or ink (though I do sometimes venture into some oil painting, just for the fun of it).
My Story
Several years after moving from my hometown of Pittsburgh to the Chambersburg area in 2004 to pursue a career in forestry, I began taking local art classes. This awoke an almost-forgotten passion in me, eventually leading to my pursuit of a B.A. in Fine Arts where I learned much about myself as an artist. I discovered that "my style" is a harmonic blend of my scientific, technical side and my creative side. You'll find evidence of this in the fine details I lovingly apply to my artwork.
